Percentage plus per-order fees

Card networks, marketplaces, and payout processors often charge a percentage of the transaction plus a fixed amount per order. This page adds those two parts, then subtracts the total from the transaction amount. The default 2.9% and $0.30 are a common card-processing illustration; enter the rates from your contract.

Percentage fee = transaction total × fee rate
Fixed-fee total = fixed fee per order × number of orders
Total fee = percentage fee + fixed-fee total
Net proceeds = transaction total − total fee
Effective fee rate = total fee ÷ transaction total

Example

$10,000 across 100 orders at 2.9% plus $0.30 is $290 of percentage fees and $30 of fixed fees. Total fees are $320, the effective rate is 3.2%, and estimated net proceeds are $9,680.

What the bill can still include

Tiered rates, minimums, tax, refunds, cross-border charges, FX, shipping, ads, and promotions sit outside this model. Use the processor statement for the amount actually withheld.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a live Stripe, PayPal, or marketplace rate card?

No. Every rate is typed by you. The 2.9% + $0.30 default is a common illustration, not a current schedule.

What if computed fees exceed the transaction total?

The page shows negative net proceeds because the entered fee formula is larger than the transaction total. Check whether the order count and fee basis match the provider's billing rules.

Why is the effective rate higher than the percentage?

The per-order fixed fee is included. Smaller average orders raise that share.

Is the fixed fee per order or per payout?

The page multiplies by the order count you enter. If the provider charges per capture or per payout, enter that count.
